David BannisterPrincipal
David is the founder and Principal of SIRA Group, with almost 40 years of experience in the financial services industry.

He holds a Bachelor of Business (Finance) and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance
and Investment.

He formed a part of the group who founded the Self Managed Super Fund Association and is a Fellow of the that institution, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and one of the longest standing members of the Financial Advice Association Australia.

His experience spans technical, advisory and leadership roles across respected
organisations including private wealth firms, banking and funds management.

Catherine CrackGeneral Manager
Catharine is an experienced compliance, risk and governance professional with over 30 years in the financial services industry.

She has worked with ASIC, Professional Standards with FPA (now FAAA), in Financial Planning Policy with CPA Australia, financial advice within the banking environment and in compliance and risk management with a boutique advice and funds management licensee.

Catharine specialises in translating regulatory requirements into practical policies and frameworks, supporting advisers and stakeholders in maintaining effective compliance and operational standards.

Liam RuttySenior Compliance Officer
With more than two decades of experience across administration, paraplanning, financial advising, and compliance, Liam brings a practical, end‑to‑end understanding of the advice process.

As Senior Compliance Officer for SIRA Group, Liam partners closely with advisers to help them achieve strong business outcomes while confidently meeting regulatory obligations.

Known for his collaborative approach, Liam is committed to providing clear, pragmatic guidance to support your business.
